Our Roseville City School District Foundation will be kicking off their Annual Giving Campaign in just a few short weeks.  This campaign directly supports enrichment efforts

in our school for every student. Without this funding, we would not be able to provide students enrichment opportunities like learning to program, create math art, or code interactive games, stories, and animations.

Every dollar you donate goes directly to providing Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) programs to every student in our district. These are opportunities that otherwise will not happen without your support.

Please consider a recurring donation to provide these programs. For the cost of two lattes a month, you can make a huge difference in a student’s learning.  You may contribute online via our website ( or use the form the foundation will be mailing to you. You have the option to contribute in one payment or to create a recurring donation every month. For some, the recurring donation is a way to support this valuable work more generously, but spread out over the school year.

Thank you for supporting each of our students by providing learning experiences that prepare them for tomorrow.

Cooley Tumblers are also available in the office for $10.

LUNCH!   Lunch at Cooley Middle School is from 12:07 to 12:40 p.m.  (Period four begins at 12:44 p.m.).  (On Monday, lunch is from 11:55 to 12:28 p.m.).  All students may bring healthy snacks and drinks for passing periods.  Energy drinks (such as Monster, Red Bull, etc) are discouraged.  We encourage parents to volunteer at lunch any day you can!

School Supplies:  The following items are suggested school supplies for this year:  Sturdy backpack, 2” binder, binder paper, pens, pencils (No. 2), highlighters, glue sticks, and a ruler.  Individual instructors may suggest additional materials.

The Cooley Student Handbook:  This important publication is included In the Cooley Planner.  “The Handbook Test” will be given to every student the first week of school, and this test is to be completed – Open Handbook! – and returned to Second Period.  We encourage students and parents to complete the test together.  Other activities are planned to help students understand school expectations as well.  A PDF version of the Handbook it below.

Just Read!  Many times each week, parents ask, “What can I do to help my son/daughter do better in school?”  There is no greater support that you can give your child, besides love, of course, than encouraging them to read, read, read.  Reading just 20 minutes each night will greatly increase your student’s abilities in academic classes throughout the year.

Cooley Parent Teacher Club!  Information about joining this amazing support for your student and for the school will be available at Check-In Day.  Please support our Parent Teacher Club!  This organization makes our school the best school every day!  Check out the PTC website at
