Welcome to Buljan Middle School, "The Home of the Bulldogs." We opened our doors in 1994 with a student population of 458 children. Over the past 16 years our student population has grown to just shy of 1,200.

Our goal is to give our students the absolute best education they can have in grades 6 - 8. As a staff, we believe that there are four major components to creating and maintaining an outstanding middle school:

1. An emotionally and physically safe environment for all students and staff where new ideas are cherished and embraced.

2. Hire outstanding teachers who possess the ability and knowledge to teach to the standards in a variety of modalities. Place a strong emphasis on the core curriculum i.e.: Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, etc.

3. Hire educators who can nurture our students while at the same time hold them accountable for their actions or lack of actions.

4. Have fun with our students and colleagues. Celebrate our successes as "The Buljan Family."
