5:30 pm - Social Hour;

6:30 pm – 10:00 PM - Dinner and Auction

  1. TRACK:  First track meet will be Thursday, March 25 at Granite Oaks.
  2. GIRLS BASKETBALL:   Tournament today!  7th grade at Antelope Crossing and 8th grade @ Cooley.
  3. BOYS VOLLEYBALL:  The boys have their first game on Friday March 19th at Creekview at 4:00 p.m.
  4. ROSEVILLE CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT FOUNDATION 2010 5K FUN RUN:  Design a shirt contest!!  Come to the office to pick up a flyer to enter your design for the 2010 5K Fun Run.  Your drawing is due by March 22nd.  The winning entry will be printed on the front of the shirt and the winner will receive a $50 gift card.
  5. DETENTION:  Detention today with Mr. Davis in room C-6.
  6. CRAB FEED:  Friday, March 12th Social hour from 5:30 – 6:30, dinner from 6:30 - 10:00 p.m.
  7. CRAB FEED DESSERTS NEEDED:  We are looking for dessert donations for the crab feed.  If you are able to donate a dessert, please drop it by the office on Friday, March 12th.
  8. ATTENTION MILE AND HUSTLE SHIRTS:  Friday, March 12th during lunch your picture will be taken for the yearbook for anyone with a 4, 5, 6 or 7 minute mile shirt.  Please meet in the gym and don’t forget to bring your shirts to school that day. 
  9. DON'T BUY THE LIE:   This is the last week to get your “Don’t Buy the Lie” entry in to Mrs. Spangler.  All entries are due March 12th.
  10. SPIRIT DAY:  Friday is Sunglasses day.
  11. ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE:  The Eich Band will be performing in Old Sacramento on Saturday, March 13th at 1:00 PM.
  12. DRESS CODE:  With the warmer weather we need reminders on dress code.  You are not allowed to wear short shorts, short skirts, short dresses, strapless tops, halter tops, backless tops, tube tops, spaghetti straps, bare midriff, or any clothing that displays weapons.  Students will be required to call home for a change of clothes if they are in violation of the dress code.
  1. GUEST SPEAKERS WANTED:  We are looking for guest speakers who are willing to come to campus and speak to the students enrolled in the Careers class (between 1:25 – 2:25 on Fridays). All career backgrounds welcome, especially high-interest careers. If you or someone you know could discuss your career with the kids, please contact Amy Murray at amurray@rcsdk8.org
  2. YEARBOOKS:  Order your yearbook online!  It’s easy!  Just go to jostens.com.
  1. PROMOTION PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS: To participate in promotional activities, students are required to: 1) Maintain a 70% average in all classes attended in the seventh and eight grades.  2) Attain a passing grade on the eighth grade civics test (Constitution Test).  3) Maintain satisfactory attendance of 90% or better from the time they enroll in school or attend a minimum of 162 days out of the required 180 days during the eighth grade year.  4) Maintain satisfactory citizenship as delineated in the student handbook.  Have 85 or more merits (If student has been on probation, he/she must have earned merits back to 100).
