The Roseville City School District is pleased to announce that Junction Elementary School has opened for the 2009-2010 school year.
Junction Elementary School takes its name from the pages of Roseville’s history. In 1864 in what is now present day Roseville, the Central Pacific Railroad’s east line crossed the California Central line. The crew called the place where the tracks intersected Junction. It wasn’t until about 40 years later that the city of Roseville was incorporated, and the name changed. Naming our school Junction reminds us of the strong influence the railroads have played in the history of our City.
Today our students share a pride for our city's history, and for their school. We are the Junction Jaguars, and we are focused on providing our students with a well-rounded education. Our goal is to provide all of our students with the knowledge necessary to be successful in school and in life. We focus on strong academics, leadership skills and life skills that will serve our student's and their families well into the future.
