Congratulations to the following recipients of the Partners In Education (P.I.E.) grants awarded by the Roseville City School District Foundation. This is the second year the grants have been made available to district certificated staff. The Foundation allocated a total of $24,000 to be disbursed. Forty-six applications were submitted of which twenty were selected. On December 11th at the District School Board meeting, three board members will be sworn in: Susan Goto for her fourth term, Gary Miller in his first term, and either incumbent Brett McFadden or new member Scott Leavitt (votes still being tabulated).

The district remains very cautious about the current State budget situation. The likelihood of midyear cuts to school districts is very high. We are expecting the worse and hoping for the best.

Elementary schools just completed their week of first trimester parent conferences. This is a great opportunity for teachers and parents to have important dialog about the young people we all care so much about. Thank you to teachers and parents for taking the time to make these conferences happen.
