Suicide Prevention Education
With the implementation of Assembly Bill 2246, Pupil Suicide Prevention Policies, all local education agencies that serves students in grades 7-12 must use a collaborative approach to address procedures that deal with suicide:
- Prevention (education)
- Intervention (supporting students in distress)
- Postvention (supporting the student body should a student suicide occur)
In Roseville City School District the four middle schools with be using the evidence based curriculum, Signs of Suicide (SOS). For more information on the SOS program please follow this link.
Please see RESOURCES for the opt out letter that was sent in school messenger, a parent newsletter, myths about depression and suicide, a parent brief screening for adolescent depression (BSAD), and a list of community resources.
My name is Lindsay Walter and I am the full time counselor here at Eich Middle School. This is my third year at Eich and I look forward to it being a great one! I attended California State University Sacramento where I obtained both my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Social Work with an emphasis on mental health as well as my Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Social Work. I love being a counselor at Eich working with the wonderful staff and families. When I am away from school I enjoy yoga, kayaking, reading, and spending time with my family.
Please feel free to contact me through email, phone, or drop by and say hi!
