Teaching Philosophy

I am beyond excited to start this amazing year in 3rd grade! It is my honor and pleasure to ensure the highest quality of education for each child in my classroom. This is my third year teaching and I cannot wait to share my passion for teaching with my students. I am looking very forward to working with every parent to really focus on what each student needs to grow and succeed this year! My biggest goal this year is to create strong and meaningful relationships with each and every student! My teaching philosophy is to meet each child where they are at and help them get better each day. We all make mistakes daily, but it is invaluable to reflect and learn from those experiences in order to continue growth. I am very passionate about teaching young people to be responsible citizens of our world, to be kind, and to be respectful. Please feel free to call me or email me with any questions, ideas, or thoughts that you have. It is so important to me that we have open communication, because together we will make this a great year!

About Me

A little about me…I am 27 years old and am entering in on my third year of teaching! I graduated from Sonoma State and Sacramento State. Teaching is my dream career that I wanted since I was 8 years old! I am a retired hair stylist, but got to make people feel beautiful while I made my way through college! My pride and joy is my 4 year old, orange kitten, named Punkies. Don’t worry, you will hear all about him! I love to work out, lift weights, paint, do DIY projects, watch funny (and scary!) movies, hike in beautiful nature, travel the states, and go to the lake! I am a HUGE animal lover and you most likely will find me helping stray animals, even bugs and spiders, find a good home. Mostly, I love to laugh and have fun and I want my students to do the same!
