E-Device Safety Education & Community Partnership Plan: The District has seen a significant increase in student use of electronic mobility devices (e-devices), such as e-bikes and e-scooters, bringing growing safety concerns from families, staff, and community members. In response, the District has partnered with the Roseville Police Department and the City of Roseville Safe Routes to School program to develop RIDE SMART Roseville, a proactive, education-first initiative focused on promoting safe and responsible use of e-devices. Staff will overview the plan that includes awareness campaigns, student and family education, positive reinforcement, and coordinated support from law enforcement.
-
Middle School Assessment, Feedback and Grading Summary: In alignment with the District’s commitment to continuous improvement and supporting student learning, Educational Services worked alongside middle school staff and administrators on an Assessment, Feedback and Grading (AFG) team throughout the 2025-2026 school year. The team reviewed the current middle school grading policy and practices. The work was guided by District priorities, evidence-based best practices, and the goal of ensuring that grading and feedback practices are clear, consistent, and supportive of student growth. Educational Services will present a year-end summary of completed work and outline next steps for middle schools in the 2026-2027 school year.

The updated framework emphasizes instructional strategies that support deeper conceptual understanding and alignment with the California Common Core State Standards in Mathematics. Throughout the 2025–2026 school year, a committee of 13 elementary teachers, representing sites and elementary grade levels across RCSD, piloted two curricula: Amplify and enVision+. Educational Services will present the elementary math pilot team’s recommendation to adopt enVision+ beginning in the 2026–2027 school year.
