Special Meeting – Board Workshop: New School Financing   

Informational Items:

• Financial Analysis of building a new school in the Roseville City School District: The District’s financial advisor from Capitol PFG will provide an overview of the District’s capacity to incur debt related to constructing a new school in the Roseville City School District. The presentation will outline the various financing options available to school districts when borrowing funds to build new facilities, as well as the potential fiscal implications for the District should it move forward with financing for new school construction in the future.

Action Matters:

• School Facilities Review – Placer One: At the January 22, 2026, Board Meeting, the District presented information related to the current enrollment study and the financial outlook for constructing new schools in the Roseville City School District. ​Upon approval of this item, district staff will begin the process of developing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a design-build team to design a TK–8 school within the Placer One development. The design-build contract will be brought to the Board for consideration in the fall, with the anticipated opening of the school in 2030.
