RCSD School Boundary Maps

At the May 21, 2026 Board of Education meeting, Roseville City School District staff presented updated proposed school boundary adjustments designed to help accommodate continued student enrollment growth across our community.

Over the past several months, the Board of Education and district staff have engaged in an extensive review process that included enrollment projections, demographic studies, projected residential growth, school capacities, transportation considerations, and long-term facility planning. This process has included multiple public presentations, workshops, and study sessions beginning in November 2025.

During the May 21st meeting, staff shared a proposed elementary boundary map and four potential middle school boundary options for Board consideration. The Board approved the elementary boundary map and middle school option 4, as they best align with RCSD’s established planning criteria, which minimize future overflow concerns, support balanced enrollment, and help maintain program space across the district.

Boundary changes for the 2027-28 school year include:

Elementary:

  • The Riego Creek attendance area, south of Blue Oaks, will attend Junction Elementary
  • The Fiddyment Farm attendance area, north of Holt Pkwy portion of Fiddyment Farm will attend Riego Creek Elementary
  • The Placer One attendance area, east of Fiddyment Rd, will attend Jefferson Elementary

Middle:

  • The Riego Creek attendance area will transition from Chilton to Cooley Middle School

  • The Kaseberg attendance area will transition from Buljan to Eich Middle School
  • Future Placer One students east of Fiddyment Road will attend Buljan Middle School

It is important to note that these boundary adjustments will begin in the 2027-28 school year with:

  • New TK/Kindergarten students
  • Incoming 6th-grade students
  • Newly registered students beginning in 2027–28

Current students residing in the boundary adjustment areas will have the opportunity to remain at their current school through an intra-district transfer process, and sibling considerations will also be included.
