About Me

I am so excited to teach kindergarten at Blue Oaks. Teaching is my passion and watching kids learn is amazing. Kindergarten is where the magic and love of learning begins. I started teaching at Blue Oaks in 2006. Before that, I taught in San Juan for three years. I have taught kindergarten and first grade. The growth that occurs at this grade level is spectacular. Kids ability to learn is phenomenal.

I have a wonderful husband, named Jeremy.  We have 2 kids, Landon and Carly. They are also Blue Oaks Bears. We also have a Havanese dog named Gizmo.  We enjoy going to the park, watching our kids play baseball, soccer and do gymnastics.

I truly believe Blue Oaks is a special school and our community is an amazing group of people that I am proud to be a part of.

Teaching Philosophy

I am passionate about instilling a love of learning in kids.  Making learning fun helps make kids lifelong learners.  Not only am I teaching academics, but I am also teaching kids to be caring citizens and friends.  I believe that if we hold kids to high standards, they will rise to them.   It is amazing what kids are capable of learning and doing at such a young age.  Creating a happy, safe environment where learning, play, and exploration can combine to create the best school experience for every child.
