Hello . . . Welcome to Mr. Chalfant’s Website.  I am glad that you are here.  

Here’s a bit of information about me.  I began my teaching career more than 30 years ago in Los Angeles, and moved to Roseville a few years later with my young family. My wife Nancy is also a teacher, and we have 3 adult daughters. I enjoy reading, traveling, hiking/backpacking and was once even a beekeeper. (Bees are fascinating!) I love learning!

I have fond memories of being in school, and enjoy being a part of helping students discover the world around them.  I believe each child brings their strengths and interests into my classroom, and I enjoy helping them to learn how to become self-directed, HUNGRY learners.
