Volunteer Policy

Roseville City School District
Overview

Volunteer Policy

The Board of Education recognizes that volunteer assistance in schools can enrich the educational program, increase supervision of students, and contribute to school safety while strengthening the relationships between the district’s schools and the community. The Board encourages parents/guardians and other members of the community to share their time, knowledge, and abilities with students.  Volunteers are responsible for the cost of fingerprinting.

The Roseville City School District does not want the cost of fingerprinting to be a barrier for you to participate in your child’s education.  The financial assistance program is intended to support parents/guardians who are interested in participating in school activities on more than a one-time basis. To obtain financial assistance, please contact Rene’ Perkett at (916) 771-1600, Ext. 50150.  Applicant must be a participant in the Free and Reduced Meal program to qualify.  Qualifying applicants will be provided with the Volunteer II Application and Application for Volunteer Fingerprint Assistance.  Qualifying applicants will need to schedule an appointment with Rene’ Perkett for application review, verification of TB clearance, and provide a valid photo identification.  Once approved, the applicant will receive a voucher to use for Live Scan at a specific location.
