What months will I be paid in?
Your work calendar determines the contractual work days for which
you are paid. This will also determine the months you will
  receive a paycheck.
  -
Example A: Based on their work calendar an
Administrative Secretary works a 209 day calendar over 12
months. Those in this position will receive pay equalized over
those 12 months. Employees working this calendar will NOT
be eligible for the summer savings program.

-
Example B: Based on their work calendar
an Instructional Assistant works a 196 day calendar over 10
months and would receive a check August thru May. Employees
working this calendar will NOT receive a paycheck in June and
July. They WILL  be eligible to enroll in the summer
    savings program.

How is my monthly pay calculated?
Pay calculation: Number of contractual work days multiplied
by the number of hours worked, multiplied by pay rate, divided
  by amount of months worked.
  What about summer savings?
  - Any employee who is being paid either ten or eleven months
will have either one or two months that are non-paid. It is
recommended to sign up for summer savings before the beginning of
the upcoming school year in order to receive pay in those months.

- Signing up for summer savings results in the employee
receiving their monthly withheld net savings distributed back to
them in the non-paid months. (1/10th or 1/11th of net pay per
paycheck, depending on employee’s work calendar.)

- Example : An Instructional Assistant paid August thru May (10
months) would receive distribution of their monthly savings that
was withheld in June and July.

- Please see details for summer savings on the sign up
  sheet: Summer
  Savings Sign Up Form

- The Summer Savings program rolls over year after year, unless
you notify payroll to stop it for the next fiscal year.

What about the Classfied School Employees Summer Assistance
  Program?
  - This program provides additional funds to classified
employees who work 11 months or less, per fiscal year. Classified
employees must all be employed by the district for at least one
year and earn less than $62,000 in a school year, at the time of
  enrollment.

- This program will provide up to $1.00 for each $1.00 withheld
from participating classified employees. Eligible employees can
elect to withhold up to 10% of their monthly gross pay.

- Eligible employees have the option of one or
two payments to be paid during the months they are not
  paid.

- Classified employees have the option of signing up for both
the Summer Assistance Program and Summer Savings, if they
  qualify.

What about health benefits and other deductions?
Health benefit premiums and other deductions are not deducted
  from Summer Savings.
